History

EuroWeld AS is a merge of two companies, Odd Aronsen Mechanical Industry AS (OAMI) and EUROWELD AS. OAMI was established in 1953 as a mechanical factory in Oslo by Odd Aronsen. OAMI specialized in manufacturing and assembly of steel structures, stairs and railings in the Oslo region.

Euroweld AS was established in 1982 when Aker group laid down its factory in Lørenskog. Euroweld continued whith the same crew and the same premises as Aker Contracting. Euroweld worked then towards the construction industry in the Oslo region. Euroweld had at the time it was required also exempted from Labour to hire welders, sheet metal and industrial plumbers to Aker Group's off-shore shipyard on the West Coast. Euroweld had up to 200 man mainly from Finland and Sweden leased to Stord shipyard.

In January 2013 OAMI and Euroweld merged under the name EuroWeld AS.
